Founded in 1990, Gentec International is Canada's leading consumer accessory products company supplying a complete range of photo, video, digital, sport optics, home theatre, electronics, wireless and mobile audio products to the Canadian retail marketplace. Gentec operates out of a high-cube, state of-the-art, fully computerized 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse and distribution centre that offers efficient, seamless service to our customers. With 90 employees, Gentec covers its retailers needs coast to coast using the latest technology systems, streamlined efficiencies, and customer service that is second to none.

Gentec International’s high cube, state of the art computerized 100,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center allows us to offer efficient, seamless service to our customers.
We manage our stock with the goal to eliminate back orders. In fact, based on our clients’ forecasts we guarantee that we will have 100% of the items they need in stock, 100% of the time. When they place an order with Gentec International, most shipments leave our warehouse within 24 hours. And we make every effort to ensure that the shipment is accurate –so that everything they order arrives.

At Gentec International, we stand behind our products. If something does not work we offer help and advice to consumers.

Our optical products, imaging technology, electronic accessories and wireless telecom come with an industry-leading warranty. If something needs fixing our expert repair team is on duty Monday through Friday. In most cases our turnaround time is less than seven working days. Our repair team is available by phone or in person at our
Toronto location.

 

Joel Seigel
President and CEO

With more than three decades of experience and expertise in the imaging industry, working in premier retail and distribution companies both in the United States and Canada, Joel has earned a sterling reputation for bringing new products to market, creativity, and garnering high levels of consumer satisfaction.

Mr. Seigel has been the recipient of numerous industry awards and honours, including being nominated as Ernst & Young’s Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 as well as Deloitte & Touche Top 50 Best Managed Private Companies in Canada.

In addition to professional excellence, he gives of his time and talents to the benefit of many worthy causes. He is a founding member of the Leadership Sinai Group of the Mount Sinai Hospital, and has helped raise more than $1.9 million for the hospital over the past thirteen years. He is active in the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. He also holds numerous local civic affiliations. In 2005, The American Jewish Committee presented Joel with its prestigious Imaging Division Human Relations Award for his professional achievements and devotion to philanthropy and communal responsibility.

Margaret Adat, CMA
Executive Vice President and CFO
Margaret, a partner in Gentec, has 20 years experience in finance and administration, gained while working with a distribution company in the photographic and electronic industries. She brings expertise in IT systems to Gentec, as well as knowledge of warehousing strategies and logistics. Margaret is on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Imaging Trade Association and also serves as Treasurer.
Brad Lloyd
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Brad leads a team of sales and marketing professionals who are committed to the success and support of our customers at all levels. His 20+ years experience in the consumer electronic market place includes the development of successful strategies to aid our customers’ growth in many new and profitable directions. Brad understands the importance of long term relationships in all areas of our business and his dedication and efforts have been instrumental in our client growth.
Alan Topp
Managing Director, Sports Optics Division
Widely recognized as one of the most knowledgeable people in the Canadian optics market, Alan was in on the ground floor when Gentec began. In addition to managing sales representatives across the country, Alan personally handles some of our top accounts.
Garry Toon
Vice President of Operations
Garry has nearly two decades of experience in Canadian retail, in both finance and logistics. He joined Gentec in the spring of 2000 as our information systems and distribution specialist.
Eddie Bozo
Director of Vendor Relations, General Manager, Mobile Electronics Division
Eddie came to Gentec in 2003 with 17 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in the field of in-car audio electronics and accessories. Since that time, he has built the newly created mobile electronics division into the extremely successful operation that it is today. In addition, Eddie has utilized his expertise in this field to manage all aspects of Gentec’s expanding home theatre interconnect program. Eddie continues to expand product development opportunities with our international vendors bringing innovative products to the Canadian marketplace.
Dick Tuerlings
Director of Sales, Klipsch Audio Products Division
Dick has enjoyed a multifaceted career in the audio products industry for over 20 years in retail, custom installation management, sales training and international distribution. He leads Gentec's Klipsch Audio Products Division by managing the channel through a strong balance of the right product assortment and engaging sales strategies for our Klipsch, Mirage, Jamo and Energy product lines.
Stan Klebanoff
Director of Product Marketing, Electronics Division
With more than 20 years of experience in senior sales, marketing and product development roles in the consumer electronics and music industries, Stan leads our Electronics product team in sourcing market savvy product, meeting the needs of the electronics customer.
